I deleted my recycling bin! š …?
Ok so I had a real blond moment, I meant to delete what was inside of my recycling bin..but I somehow managed to delete the entire recycling bin, like icon and all….how did I do that and how can I get it back?
The Expert answers:
Yea, you have a windows vista right? You most likely right clicked on it and selected DELETE instead of remove contents(or something similiar).
To get your recycle bin back, right click on any blank space on your desktop, and click personalize. On this new menu to the left hand side there should be writing that says Change Desktop Icons. Click it. Now check recycle bin. Click ok and you should have your recycle bin back. Hope I helped. =]

The Recycle Bin usually appears on the desktop. If you prefer, you can hide it.
To show or hide the Recycle Bin on the desktop
Click to open Personalization.
In the left pane, click Change desktop icons, and then do one of the following:

where is my recycle bin ?
i sent something to the recycle bin and then i pressed ok before i read what the message tell me , then i could not find the recycle bin any more . how can i restore it ?
The Expert answers:
You mean it vanished right after you sent stuff to it? What OS is it Vista or XP? Did you drag the file to recycle bin or did you delete the file from where it is. There are so many questions to figure out what happen but depending how you handled the file is one. The best easiest thing I think is to do a system restore to the day before or even maybe the hour before you deleted the file. It will not bring the file back but it will bring recycle bin back. Oh doing a sys restore is easy google it** see below.
Or try this but only if you are using VISTA the XP fix is for experts.
**SYSTEM RESTORE
Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, point to System Tools, and then click System Restore. System Restore starts.
On the Welcome to System Restore page, click Restore my computer to an earlier time (if it is not already selected), and then click Next.
On the Select a Restore Point page, click the most recent system restore point in the On this list, click a restore point list, and then click Next.

how to open recycle bin?
I’m wanting to open my recycle bin to clear a program,so I can delete the temporary internet files
The Expert answers:
Um… The recycle bin has nothing to do with your temporary internet files and to open it you merely double click the recycle bin icon. To delete your temporary internet files you click tools, then click delete browsing history, and finally you click delete files which will be next to “temporary internet files”.

Windows Recycle Bin!?
I deleted my recycling bin from my desktop accidentaly and now I am unable to locate it within my computer. Where can I locate it?
The Expert answers:
For Vista (and maybe W7):
1.Right-click on the desktop and select Personalize.
2.Click the Change Desktop Icons entry in the left pane.
3.Check the Recycle Bin checkbox.
4.Click OK.
That should do it for Vista. With Windows XP:
There may be a more direct way, but here’s the only one I know of:
1.Download and install a freebie from Microsoft called TweakUI (see below for the URL). Install it on the desktop. It happens to be a nice tool, by the way.
2.Run it.
3.Click the Desktop entry on the left.
4.On the right, a series of check boxes for desktop icons should appear. The Recycle Bin should be one of them. Click it.
5.Click OK.
That should do it for XP.
Hope that helps.

recycling bin?
items deleted in recycling bin
can you get them back?
or are they deleted for ever
The Expert answers:
It is possible to recover files with file recovery software. I reccommend Recuva (pronounced “recover”), it is a freeware Windows utility to restore files that have been accidentally deleted from your computer. This includes files emptied from the Recycle bin as well as images and other files that have been deleted by user error from digital camera memory cards or MP3 players. It will even bring back files that have been deleted by bugs, crashes and viruses!
